This page will be dedicated to the most important part of a cupcake: the taste.
I will break down the basics of various topics, such as getting to know the ingredients, basic baking knowledge, flavor profiles, substituting ingredients, vegan and vegetarian options, and much more.
I will try to present this section in a logical way, building upon each previous post, almost like a tutorial. Hopefully it will be easy so that you can follow along if it’s your first time digging deep into baking in general, but also interesting enough so even those avid bakers may discover a few things they may not have considered. By no means do I claim to be an expert, I am just a girl trying to make sure she is educated in the basics as well, which makes me a better baker, and I welcome any other curious minds with any questions or comments (like Robbie’s ever-so-poignant inquiry “please explain the difference between jams, jellies, and preserves”) I appreciate your readership so keep me on my toes!
